What is so special and unique about this work of art?
That this pieces of bronze are part of an altar located in The Basilica de San Pedro, it was part of the renaissance art and it has in the middle a sculpture of the virgin that is carrying a baby and she has to her sides other religion people. (Lib.art website)

The religion ideology was that the people could be catholic but this didn’t influence on art because in the renaissance the artist impulse the humanist ideology, in this one the human was the main thinking not the early medieval ideas (Delgado de Cantu, Gloria M.)

The old painting was invented so this could helped the artist to paint in other way, another important advance was the discoveries that were made in this period, like human anatomy. (The New York Times Company),

Is this work of art reflecting the atmosphere of the period? In which way?
Yes, like we can observe that they made the sculpture with a very precision and with a great technique in bronze, so we can see that is representing the human form even in a church, representing the religion with human and humans with the religion. (Emil Kren-Daniel Marx)

Yes, the art is showing us that the main character in the art is human, but in some way is also representing a religion figure, but this sculpture was made in the beginning of this ideology, so we can think that this sculpture doesn’t have the ideology, but it has it. (Emil Kren – Daniel Marx)

PERSONAL REFLECTION:
What are the aspects of the period that you identify yourself with? Why?
I identify in the aspect of humanist, because I think that the human is first from religion and that the religion is less important that the study of the human, so it is a good aspect.


GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION OF THE PLACE OF ORIGEN OF THE WORK

My opinion about the sculpture is that this is a new kind of art that mixt the religion with the study of the humans, and the great advance in this period of time help the artist to created new and magnificent pieces of art that will become a symbol of the renaissance and a symbol of the advance of culture and art in Europe.

Interpretation

Well, this image is not exactly an image from the renaissance and this doesn't have the principles of the Renaissance but I think this image can represent the idea of the sculpture. There are three sculptures and the one in the middle is the biggest and maybe it show us that is the most important of the three, it also shows a particular kind of protection of the smallest ones. So this sculptures, a little simple and known sculpture, could represent the meaning of the original one.

Sleep

This painting is titled "Sleep" by Salvador Dali. Now we are going to analyze this painting with Sartre's analysis.

According to Sartre the painting tries to express something related with the dreams and sleep,

he paints that like a ballon with face sleeping and it is supported by sticks, that is what we can see, perhaps he didn't want to represent like that but with a sense of peaceful and without disturbance , but how did Dali imagine sleeping? We don't know, maybe he represented this by paint, but in his imagination was the true piece of art.

Interpretation

This image show us the posible interpretation of dali's painting, the peaceful and without disturbance everything is calm and alone, only the tree and the sun behind it, very peaceful, calm and quiet, show how can we represent sleep and the message of the painting.
